GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS
The
Graphic Communications Department offers instruction in both the
offset and digital print production process.
Courses include introduction to the graphic arts microcomputer(mac),
offset press operations, survey of print production, digital printing
and publishing, and product finishing.
Students learn to prepare images
for print production, produce multi-colored documents on press,
output jobs from the Internet, digitally print and publish books,
and bind, cut, trim or fold jobs according to specifications. Financial
aid is available to students participating in the credit and noncredit
classes. Students are provided internships in printing companies
and corporate facilities, throughout the Bay Area.
